The ATN6 is a 100dB electronic step attenuator  with a built in Automatic Level Control.   Three logarithmic amplifiers monitor power at the output, inside the step attenuator and from an external input.   A servo-loop drives a 0 to -10dB variable attenuator to interpolate the step attenuator and maintain the output level.   Each log amp and the bulk attenuators are all temperature stabilized.  A 16bit DAC sets the output power level.

An External Log Amp input can be driven by your external coupler.   The Servo Loop can also be replaced with your software monitor and control using an on-board ADC and DAC.

Connectors and switching are provided for an external Gain Amplifier.  Apria's companion AMP6 lets you produce a signal between -100 and +22dBm.   The Attenuator shield is fully gasketed for -100dB operation.
